In the fall of 2024, we launched our Strong & Courageous discipleship journey, a call to surrender to God’s leading and transform into more than a building. It’s a call to come together and take one of the greatest steps of faith our church has ever taken.
Over the past year, we’ve seen God transform countless individuals as they’ve encountered Jesus and seen the lost found, faith strengthened, chains broken, marriages restored, and families reconciled. And, as we embark on Year Two of our journey, we’re asking: “God, what’s the next courageous step You want us to take in our journey of pursuing Jesus and advancing His mission?”
This is my command — be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

A note from pastor mark
As I recently walked around the property that will soon become our new home, I felt the sun shining and a gentle breeze blowing. In that moment, I thought, “Only God.” Only God could have turned our dream of a new home for Cornerstone into what can only be described as a 7-mile miracle.
I know that what lies ahead may feel intimidating or even frightening. At the same time, we are also entering a new and exciting season where we’re positioned to become more than a building, to make a significant Kingdom impact in our neighborhoods, community, and beyond.
Now is the time for us to be strong and courageous, to live, give, and follow as God leads us into this 7-mile miracle.

We want to see every generation, our neighbors, and the nations transformed by our Strong and Courageous initiative. We hope and pray that every person who calls Cornerstone home would ask the Lord, “What is the next courageous step You want me to take in my journey of pursuing Jesus and advancing His mission in this world?”
Secondary Goal: $8,500,00
For Mission Advancement
We believe that as we pursue a life-changing relationship with Jesus, the fruit of the gospel will spread far and wide through us. We believe that God has identified four specific areas to focus our mission of making disciples in this season. We are placing our trust in God to work through each of us during this two-year initiative to raise $8.5 million to accomplish the vision He has given us.
New Home/New Campus
We’re diving into God’s mission, creating more spaces for people to encounter Jesus both in the Lowcountry and around the world.
Encounter Jesus
We’re creating a community where every generation has the opportunity to encounter Jesus and experience a life-changing relationship with Him.
Grow Deeper
We’re making a deeper investment in our discipleship ministries, equipping opportunities, and ongoing leadership multiplication through the church.
Live on Mission
We’re funding more short-term mission trips, scaling our care ministry, serving our community, and more deeply committing to our local and global partners.

At Cornerstone, we believe that it’s all one mission that we’re on as a movement for ALL people to discover a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. So, we want to encourage all of us to unleash our generosity toward that mission. Every gift that’s given to Cornerstone Church during these two years will go to the four key components of our Strong & Courageous discipleship journey.
