We are a faith-based, half-day preschool program. We accept children from 18 months- 5 years old (PreK). We offer a structured setting while using a curriculum that offers hands-on activities. Each classroom prepares children academically and socially for their next level of education.

Depending on availability, parents may register for any number or combination of days.

HOURS: Monday – Thursday, 9AM to 12:30PM
SCHEDULE: September - May

General Registration Information

- Children are taught weekly Bible lessons & verses that coordinate with the weekly theme
- Classroom sizes are kept small with a low teacher: student ratio
- Children are divided into classrooms by age
- A teacher & assistant are with children at all times and are background checked yearly.

Our school is currently located at 1300 May River Road in downtown Bluffton. Cornerstone is in the process of building a new location at 11 Grassey Lane. We are uncertain of the timing of the completion of this new building. We do anticipate the completion will be sometime during the 25/26 school year. Know that we will make the move as smooth a transition as possible for the staff and students. As dates become known, we will share those with you.

Waitlist procedure:

If your family has never been a part of Sonshine Preschool, you will need to join the wait list as your first step to becoming a part of the Sonshine family.

There is a $50 fee per family to join the waitlist. This is a non refundable fee.

The wait list holds your child’s place in line but does not guarantee an opening in the school.

If your child is offered a space in the school, you will be notified via the email you entered on the waitlist form. You will have 48 hours to respond. Please sign up for a tour now. Do not wait until you are offered a spot to take a tour; it will be too late. The wait list is for families that would like to attend Sonshine.

While we do allow children to join the school at ANY point during the school year as openings become available, the registration process is detailed here.

February 1st: All current families are able to register ANY of their children for the upcoming school year.

February 15th: All previous families are able to register ANY of their children for the upcoming school year.

March 1: Any openings for the upcoming school year will begin to be filled based on the waitlist.

Wait List

Currently each class wait list is over 10 children. Once you join the waitlist, you will be notified of your child's specific place in line.
